Introduction to meteor astronomy

  This lecture was mad especially for meteor group but others (such as me) found it very interesting. What was it about? Nikola was talking about basic methods used in meteor astronomy today and how are meteor astronomers organized around the world.

  Active and Adaptive optics The quest for the last photon

This lecture was one of those you should never miss if you are interested in optics that is beeing used in observatories with big telescopes. Giovani was explaining new methods of active and adaptive optics used for handeling big telescopes from construction problems to problemscaused by athmosphere

22.8.1999 - Dr. Zeljko Andreic

Publishing a science project

 Dr. Andreic held a lecture which was about proper writing and publishing of science projects. The lecture included all forms of writing and presenting a project in magazines, on  the web and on conferences. It is expected from us(students who listened to the lecture) to use the techniques for writing and publishing projects so that our own projects would be better.

23.3.1999 - Prof. Korado Korlevic

NEO objects and the Spaceguard

In this lecture prof. Korlevic attempted to explain how and why the NEO objects started to be observed, and the importance of that data. He also explained through history what danger  lurks from NEO objects .

 

24.8.1999 - Prof. Korado Korlevic

This lecture was about jurny to USA no Congress  Asteroids, Comets, Meteors. Numerious slides were shown including those of Cornell Univercity,  MPC, Steward Observatory -  Catalina Station, Kitt Peak National Observatory, Spacewatch, LPL, and Biosphere 2.
