The NEO group has being detecting, tracking, and confirming Near Earth Objects, as     well  as  tracking  similar  bodies  such  as  regular comets or asteroids. Near Earth     Objects are small bodies of the solar system  whose orbits bring them close to the    earth, making them potential hazards to  life on earth. To reduce the hazard, these objects must be detected and their orbit parameters recorded for further observation and tracking.

.Our observation was done with a 40cm Newtonian telescope and  an  AP8   CCD camera. We mostly  observed areas      along the ecliptic, as that is where most NEO activity occurs. In the detection of asteroids we used a method known as blinking using the Gandalf software package, also developed at Visnjan Observatory. We made astrometric (positional) measurements on all detected asteroids and comets and sent them to the Minor Planet Center (MPC), where they were added to the worldwide  database  located  there. We have discovered a new asteroid and made measurements of many     asteroids and one comet.
