During the preparations for the transit of Venus, i took this picture of the moon through the equipment I wanted to use for the transit. I choose an old telephoto lens, originally made for Practica cameras, with focal length of 200 mm and focal ratio of F/4. When coupled to my webcam (QC-4000 pro), the Moon (thus also the Sun disc) fits nicely onto the chip. But, woud Venus be visible? I thus made this picture, Venus near lower conjunction has apparent size of crater Tycho. To improve the sharpness and ease focusing tolerance, the stop was set to F/8.
Polako se pripremam za prolaz Venere. Odlučio sam slikati sa web kamerom, kroz teleobjektiv 4/200 jer on taman može staviti cijeli disk na čip moje web kamere. Nagradno je pitanje, hoće li se disk Venere vidjeti? Kako je Venera u času prolaza oko 1 lučne minute u promjeru, Mjesec je idealan test. Krater Tycho je naime otprilike iste veličine. Gore se vidi što jedan stari teleobjektiv može... Zaslon je smanjen na F/8 da se malo popravi oštrina.
