PROJECT DETAILS:

The goal of this project is to fully automate a Meade LX 200 telescope, so it can operate as autonomously as possible, with as little human supervision as possible. The main task is to write software which would act as a "brain" for the telescope. A schematic of the software is shown on the image below. The user controls the telescope via a web-application that communicates with a program responsible for processing user requests, determining if those requests could safely be fulfilled, and communicating with the telescope.
