Welcome

Welcome to the Visnjan Observatory Web Pages, where you'll find the information on the Visnjan Observatory and other.

The activities at the public Visnjan Observatory, situated in the western part of the Istrian highlands, are varied. The first observatory is located among the
the old roofs of Visnjan, a town built in the Middle Age. The rest of the astronomical events take place in the surrounding country, and plans are being made to set up additional equipment (i.e. a 1 meter telescope).
Browse through our pages using the buttons at the top and left frame.

Currently, some parts of our home page are located at several places on the Internet, so, for example, you can find information about the observation of the Hyakutake comet at SRCE, as well as some links to other information, while the most recent happenings at the Observatory can be found here.
