Equipment and Locations of the
Visnjan Observatory
The Observatory is located inside five rooms of total surface area of
90 m2 in Visnjan and four rooms of total surface area of 80 m2 in the Rusnjak
Memorial Home (by Sv. Lovrec - Pazenaticki, The city of Porec). For the needs
of educational activities the dorms and the dining hall of the Visnjan
Primary School are used, as well as the rooms of the Italian Community.
Besides these closed spaces there are also two observatories: the first one
is in the dome that has the diameter of 3 meters, above the rooms of the
Observatory. Several telescopes are permanently set into it, so most of the
observing activities happen from here. The second, still unequipped
observatory at the Rusnjak Memorial Home, is used during observational
actions as an external observatory.

being held in the Visnjan Observatory are placed
