He is participating at the Summer School of Science since 2004, first as a student, then as technical assistant and leader/organizer of the "Research Swapshop" projects. His fields of interest are physics of colloids and scientific education.

Branimir Lukic (S3++ organizer)
Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland

Branimir holds a diploma in physics from Faculty of Sciences, University of Zagreb, Croatia. Currently he is finishing a doctoral thesis at the Institute of Physics of Complex Matter, EPFL. He works on short-time dynamics of colloidal particles using optical traps and on nanomechanics of carbon nanotubes and biological structures using atomic force microscopy. His interests revolve around quantitative biology and soft-matter physics. Depending on the year, he was a lecturer, group leader or organiser at S3 since its beginning in 2001. [personal webpage]
