Important announcement!
The application deadline is extended until 15th of May. Applicants will be notified by e-mail about the exact date and time of the interview.
Who can apply?
The school is open to all high school students with a strong interest in
science, regardless of nationality. University students will not be
accepted.
It is not necessary to have any prior research experience or participation
on science
competitions. The advantage is given to the students who can
benefit the most from the School,
since there are many more good applicants
than available places. This is why it is
important to explain your future
goals and interests and clearly state the reasons
for wanting to
participate.
How to apply?
You can apply only by downloading and filling out the application form.
We
also need a letter of recommendation from one of your teachers. After
completing the
recommendation form, the teacher should return it to the
student sealed in a separate
envelope. Student should take the envelope and
send it together (in one envelope!)
with the hard copy of the application
form.
The letter of recommendation should
not be read by the student being
recommended!
Application is considered complete
only when we recieve ALL of the
following:
- Application form in the electronic
format (e-mailed to
branimir DOT lukic AT gmail DOT com)
- Hard copy of the application
form (signed by one of your parents)
and a letter of recommendation from one of your
teachers. Hard copy should

Selection procedure
All applications will be reviewed by the school organizers and a certain number of applicants will be selected for the interviews. Interviews will be conducted by telephone on the 21st of April (Saturday). Students will be notified by an e-mail about the exact hour of the interview. Interviews are used to asses the student's proficiency in English and personal motivation. Final selection will be announced to the students at the end of April 2007.
Payment
Full fee indicates the real economic cost of the participation. For a half-fee, school covers half of the cost. The fee includes accommodation and food.
International applicants pay the full fee.
Participants from Croatia pay the full fee if their participation is covered by the sponsor (your school, town, or private company), and half-fee if they pay by themselves. In case you look for the sponsors to cover your expenses, contact us and we will write you a support letter.
Limited number of participants (from Croatia only) can be accepted without paying the fee, considering the economic situation in the country. In the case you are not able to pay the fee or find a sponsor, you must include a separate letter in your application (electronic version is sufficient) asking for a stipend.
S3 full-fee: 2000 Kn, half-fee: 1000 Kn
S3++ full-fee: 2800 Kn (380 euro), half-fee: 1400 Kn (190 euro)
