What is S3?
Summer School of Science (S3) is science workshop
held at Visnjan Observatory for high school students. It covers
traditional scientific disciplines from biology, chemistry and
mathematics to physics.
School is organized into preferably interdisciplinary projects.
Aim of the projects is to provide students with hands-on expirience
with science and scientific method in informal atmosphere. Where
possible, students are also encouraged to continue projects
during the year. Projects are lead by university students and/or scientists.
Beside work on projects, all participants have lectures covering topics
of general interest.
School also provides opportunity for university students to create
and lead projects, organize work and people, thus gaining experience
which will help them in later professional life.
School is open to all high-school students in Croatia and abroad.
