Astronomy and culture in the city of Porec

[Nov 19, 1999 - Porec] An astronomical photography exhibition of the '99 solar eclipse as seen from Hungarian town of Siofok has been opened in Porec as a part of the festivities of St. Mauro, the saint protector of the City of Porec. Guests from Siofok - the authors of the photographs - have shown that extraordinary astronomical, tourist and cultural event through contrasts of dark photographs taken during the totality and the explosion of colorful flowers and tourists by which Siofok is known in Hungary and worldwide. The Visnjan Observatory had the honor of giving an introductory speech at the opening of the exhibition.

 Astronomija i kultura u Porecu

[Nov 19, 1999 - Porec ] U povodu praznika Sv. Maura, zastitnika  grada Poreca, izmedju ostalih zbivanja, otvorena je i izlozba slika o  pomrcini Sunca vidjenoj iz madjarskog grada Siofoka. Autori slika iz  Siofoka prikazali su taj prvorazredni astronomski, turisticki i kulturni dogadjaj njihova mjesta kroz kontrast hladnih slika Sunceva mrka i eksplozije boja cvijeca i turista po kojima je Siofok poznat u Mdjarskoj i svijetu.    Zvjezdarnici Visnjan ostavljena je cast da pripremi jedan od  uvodnika na otvorenju izlozbe.
