Dear MACE 2002 participants: We hope that a
lot of you will decide to present themselves and their organizations at this meeting. Please fell free to do it in a way you find the most convenient. Two kinds of presentations are planned for MACE 2002: oral
presentation, with a length of 10 min (+ ca. 5 min for discussion) and poster sessions. There will also be a few invited talks, with length of 20 min (+10 min for discussion). For both kinds of presentations, please
submit a 1-page abstract before April 30 to: andreic@rudjer.irb.hr . A form can be wiewed here.
Abstracts received after this date can not be considered for oral presentation and
can be accepted just for poster presentation.A preliminary programme of presentations and poster sessions will be put to MACE 2002 web site before May, the 12th
together with the abstracts of talks and presentations. When your abstract is received, a confirmation by email will be sent in a day or two. If you don't receive a confirmation, please contact us again!
A meeting proceedings are planned in both electronic and printed version. To give you enough time to write a nice contribution, we set the deadline for full-length contributions to July, the 1st, 2002. No
page limit is set at this moment, and we well give our best to put it all into the printed version of proceedings, but please be reasonable. With about 80 participants we could easily break the limit! The full-length
contributions should be written according the common rules for scientific publications. An Word97 example can be downloaded here.
Abstract style: The one page abstract should fit into the frame of 15.5 cm wide and 21 cm high. MS-Word (up to Word97), RTF, or ASCII formats are accepted. If you use Word 2000., please save as Word6 or
RTF format. Send your abstract as an e-mail attachment to andreic@rudjer.irb.hr with "MACE 2002 abstract" as subject. Do not use custom word macros!
In all cases, please use Times New Roman and single line spacing. Type the title using capital letter 12 point size, bold. leave 1 blank line Type (10 point size) the author names and their affiliations. The name
of the reporting author should be underlined. leave 1 blank line Type text of the abstract (10 point size). Embede pictures, if any, in the file. Note that only black and white pictures can be accepted in the
abstract. LaTeX fans note: If you do not use Word at all, you can submit LaTeX files if you DO do the following: 1. write your contribution in standard article style
2. do not use custom macros 3. do not embede pictures in the file (if youn have pictures, supply them separatelly in JPG or GIF formats. Beware that some custom characters can not be
reproduced properly when going from LaTeX to Word! Please provide in the body of your e-mail the following informations: - the name of the person who will give the presentation
- the full address of the corresponding author of the abstract - your preference for an oral or poster presentation Article style: General: All
manuscripts should be typewritten in good English. The corresponding author should be identified (include a Fax number and E-mail address). Full postal address must be given for all co-authors. The Editors reserve the
right to adjust style to certain standards of uniformity. Authors should retain a copy of their manuscript since we cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of files. Abstracts: Papers
should include an abstract, not exceeding 200 words, in which the main points of the paper are summarized. Text: Follow this order when typing manuscripts: Title, Authors, Affiliations,
Abstract, Main text, Acknowledgements, Appendix, References. Import the Figures and Tables into your text. The name of the corresponding author should be underlined. Do not use footnotes
Units: All abbreviations should conform to the style of SI units. Maths: Confusion between the letter 1 and the numeral 1 when standing alone can he avoided by stand-alone letter
l as a math symbol. Similar differentiation between the letter O and zero 0 is advisable. Center all formulas in the line and number then consequently with the right-aligned numbers in parenthesis.
References: All publications cited in the text should be presented in a list of references following the text of the manuscript. In the text refer to references by a number in square brackets on the line (e.g.
[1]), and the full reference should he given in a numerical list at the end of the paper. Illustrations: All illustrations should he embedded into the file. Photographs, charts and diagrams
are all to be referred to as "Figure(s)" and should be numbered consecutively in the order to which they are referred. All figures are to have a caption. Color: Are welcome for the
electronic version of the proceedings. They will be printed as half-tones (black and white) in the printed version of the proceedings. Tables:
Tables should be numbered consecutively and given a suitable caption. |
