Images of the asteroids are not  esthetically pleasant as their tailed cousins. In any case, the beauty of them is hidden in their motion among the stars and the knowledge about of their proximity to us.

The inner coma of the Comet Hale-Bopp. More images from Visnjan Observatory are available at our comet Hale-Bopp page. During the VSA workshop, we made one of the first astrometric measurements of that comet, responding to the alert that came from the nearby Farra Observatory. The pressure of the public was so heavy that after that event we were incapable of any scientific work..

The beautiful Hyakutake comet, image from the year 1996. A very old "historic  web page" from that period is still at the Computer Center of the University of Zagreb! These comet was one of the first objects on which we had tested our ability to react promptly to  the request for followup of a peculiar object. (M.P.E.C. 1996-C03).
