Astrometric measurements and search for comets are not the main goal of the current astrometry program. Anyway, a few comets were found during the survey.   After the loss, of the first found comet because of the lack of adequate followup strategies, the next comets were followed enough to obtain the designations for them. In all three cases, the discovered comets belong to the Jupiter family and have short revolution times.
